Mystery stains and carpet cleaning!

carpet.jpg

We have a mystery! Four kids+ 2 adults + carpet + summer break = A MESS! As you can see in the photo above, my carpet is going through it this summer. I made the rule that the kids are NOT allowed to eat or drink anywhere other than the kitchen. Well, as you can see, someone still managed to spill on the carpet on the edge of the kitchen! JUST THE EDGE! And it wasn’t even there when I went to bed. No noticeable wet spot, no stain, nothing. If it had been there, I’d have cleaned it immediately. Then I get up this morning and there it is. A dark, dried spot. We don’t have pets so I know it isn’t anything like that. No one has ‘fessed up either. So, I literally have NO idea what it is.

I know who I’d call to come clean my carpet if I was looking for a carpet cleaner in Austin, TX But since I’m in another state, I’m going to have to break out my old shampooer and pray it gets that out of there. I’ll just use the shampooer first since the whole carpet needs a good cleaning. Remember, Four kids + 2 adults + carpet + summer break = A MESS so it really does need it all over. If it doesn’t get it up, I”ll use a spray cleaner and brush, but man, I hate having to do that. It lifts the carpet too much and makes it look even worse when you use a brush in one area. Oh, man, what a mess! Why can’t http://www.thesteamteam.com be closer to me? WHY!!!!! :D

I’m definitely open to carpet cleaning tricks and tips. Lay ‘em on me folks. What can I use, to get whatever that is out of my carpet without making it look even worse? HELP!

  1. These are the two most common sources of mystery spots in a home. While there are a few others these probably account for two thirds of all spots. I hope this article has been of use to you in your effort to maintain your home. Good luck to you and your home.
